Dr. Diane Scheiner is a licensed clinical psychologist with dual specialization in neuropsychology and trauma. She is the founder of The Scheiner Group and maintains a part-time private practice with locations in Beverly Hills and Atwater Village (Los Angeles), California.

In her psychotherapy practice, she works with adults struggling with a range of psychological and medical challenges including depression, anxiety, and problems with relationships and work. She specializes in treating trauma-related conditions such as PTSD and adapted psychotherapies for persons living with chronic medical conditions (acquired or traumatic brain injury ABI/TBI; vestibular and neurologic; health issues of aging). Read more about our psychotherapy services.

Her assessment practice involves working with adults who are self-referred or referred from specialty medicine (rehabilitation medicine, neurology, psychiatry) to clarify diagnostic questions and make treatment recommendations. Evaluation entails assessment and diagnosis of problems with cognitive function and psychological/behavioral concerns. Typically, these services are requested when someone is experiencing new difficulties in the context of an injury or illness. Read more about our neuropsychological assessment services.

Dr. Scheiner’s philosophy of treatment is grounded in the belief that our physical and mental health are best understood from an integrative standpoint - they are linked and interact with one another. Whether her primary role in someone's care is treatment or assessment, she listens carefully and with empathy, to set collaborative goals that are based on what is most important to clients and their families.
